Amy and Silas married each other on a delightfully soft January day.
Some of their dear friends have the most gorgeous land out near Kumeu, west Auckland.
This land also happens to be where these two lovers have been building a tiny home together for the past little while, and where they live now days!
Just outside where their tiny home sits, there is an abundant vege garden and delicious views of the land that stretches for miles around. On from there, is a forest with a perfect little clearing beneath magnificent Kaihakatia trees, and this is the peaceful magical spot their wedding took place in.
This space reflected their love for simplicity and for the beauty of the earth. And to me it was so refreshing because it was a space where we could all
breathe with the trees, the freshness of the air sinking into you, while your feet felt the soft comfort of the earth beneath.
This space held the love and connection of everyone there, and that was all that really mattered.
Their friends and family gathered around on the soft grass and big rugs, and stood witness to these barefoot darlings committing their love to each other.
After a lot of hugs, sweet conversations and joy filled hearts, they jumped onto the 1970's Jeep Wagoneer they had been gifted for a day.
We drove out to Muriwai beach to relax for a bit and get some salty air in our lungs again.
The day ended with us celebrating at Coatesville settlers hall, filled with delicious food, a flock of very friendly ducks, line dancing with everybody on the dance floor and some of the best wedding speeches I have ever heard! The most gorgeous wedding that made my heart overflow.
happiest ever for you two!
